At GBS®, our student life reflects what our students do. Apart from impromptu social events that students organise themselves, events such as Fests, Picnics and Serendipity involve each of our students. Apart from these students also involve themselves in community development services that help them to stretch and expand their horizons.
Serendipity
A two day event entirely organised by students, Serendipity is the annual students' day at the Globsyn Campus. The morning sessions are devoted to management studies oriented activities like seminars and quizzes involving other Management Schools of India, while the evening is dedicated to cultural programs where parents are invited as guests. Students of all major B School and Techies of Sector V participate in different competitive events. The event is entirely managed by the 2nd year students. This annual event at Sector V has made a mark in the events map of Kolkata, with press and electronic media participation and sponsored events/ activities.
Picnics
An off campus winter event for Globsyn students, students organise this camp at an ideal outing. Night outs, bonfire, songs and music helps build a team of budding managers uniting them for their future, irrespective of where they work or stay.
Fest Participation
The students take part in almost all major management events organized by other top and leading Business Schools and educational institutes. Apart from taking part in the annual fests organized by others, our students also involve themselves in selected events of major institutes. Globsyn Business School have won several prizes in Quiz competition, Ad contests, Debates, and management games. In the recent past our students have, among the others, won TATA NEN Business Idea Award (2009), ROCK-E – a marketing game organized by IISWBM (2009), Extempore at Marine Engineering and Research Institute (2009) and CMA Extempore Competition (2010).
