Introduction

Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier business association, formed in the year 2002, with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. Yi has over 826 direct members in 16 City Chapters & 135 members in 2 corporate chapters. Yi engages another 10,000 members through its District Chapters, Farmer Nets and Student Nets. The Yi members include young progressive Indians between the age group of 25 & 40 years comprising of entrepreneurs, professionals and progressive achievers from different walks of life. "To become the voice of young Indians globally" being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute to being an integral part of the Indian Growth Story, to promote the positive attitude of "We Can, We Will".

YI in Kolkata is right now concentrating on YI Kala : To take learning a step further and help children explore and apply their theoretical knowledge.Yi offers special education to under privileged children, who form the masses in our country, through art, practical work and field work. These classes aim to work as mental & emotional therapy to children from troubled backgrounds, make learning fun for them and help them develop logical thinking and interpersonal skills.
