For the first time in Eastern India, institution and industry collaborate for the inception of an educational programme that could significantly contribute to the nation’s educational innovations and economic growth, and pave the way for successful careers for ambitious youngsters aspiring to make it big in the corporate world. Globsyn, successfully imparting quality education and skills for a long time now, has tied up with one of the pioneers of human resource management, the ManpowerGroup, to offer a one-of-its-kind Post-Graduate Programme in Management – Human Resource – PGPM (HR) that presents a solution to a need that has always existed in the industry but rarely been addressed – the need for skilled HR managers.

A two-year programme, the first year is dedicated to classroom learning imparted by a team of top HR academicians and corporate professionals, at GBS campus. The second year entails apprenticeship at ManpowerGroup offices to get a keen insight into the HR industry and its practical aspects. The completion of the programme endows a student with the requisite skills and knowledge of a HR Manager, required for the development of the organization as well as the individual.

Why PGPM (HR)

With organisations across the globe engaged in a continuous process of expansion, an increased demand for skilled Human Resource Professionals has come into prominence. An organisation cannot build a good team of working professionals without good human resources. The key functions of the Human Resource Manager include recruitment and training of people, performance appraisals, motivation of employees as well as workplace communication, workplace safety, and much more. Taken together, a Human Resource Manager contributes to achieving higher production and most effective utilisation of available resources leading to an enhancement in organisational goals and objectives.

This Post-graduate Programme in Management (Human Resource) imbibes in students the knowledge, methods and skills required to successfully fulfil the role of human resource manager and meet the human resource challenges of today’s changing workplace and workforce.

Through this programme, at Globsyn Business School, we reassess the facts, frameworks, and theories of Human Resource Management that have been taught all along (the ‘knowing’ component), while at the same time innovating the curriculum so that more attention is paid to developing the skills, capabilities and techniques that lie at the heart of the practice of Human Resource Management (the ‘doing’ and ‘being’ component).
