Record breaking final placement closure by GBS for the year 2017-18
57 Corporates. 500+ Job Offers. Highest annual placement package of over 12.10 lakhs.
Globsyn Business School (GBS), uniquely positioned as India’s first ‘Corporate B-School’, has once again successfully completed the final placements for its outgoing batch of 2017-18 with outstanding success figures.
The final placements saw 100% of its cohort being successfully placed in various esteemed corporate houses not just in the city but nationally as well, with an offered median salary of Rs. 5 lakh/annum and an average remuneration package of Rs. 5.30 lakh/annum. This final recruitment process saw the participation of 57 corporates including 23 first-timers with a minimum of 5 opportunities being offered to every student. The highest package has gone over Rs. 12.10 lakh/annum, an increase of 76% from the previous batch.
With around 57 corporates gracing the GBS campus, this placement season witnessed recruiters from various sectors. E-commerce firms such as Amazon and 123greetings.com; audit and consulting firms like PwC -India and PwC – SDC; the ‘who’s who’ of BFSI sector like ICICI Pru, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Karvy, Tata Motors Finance Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Insurance, Reliance Securites, Aditya Birla Sun Life and so on; education institutes like Asian Teachers Training Institute and Jaro Education; F&B companies like Nestle India and Cafe Coffee Day; FMCG and FMCD firms like Dabur India Ltd., Parle, ITC, Asian Paints, Berger Paints; telecom industries like Reliance Jio; retail giants like Pantaloons, Spencer’s Hills, Reliance Trends and Shoppers Stop; research firm like Netscribes are some of the names of recruiters that took part in the final placement process.
Summer Internship Programme (SIP)
SIP from GBS have achieved 100% successful placement with an 81% increase in median and average stipend with the highest stipend amount being offered was Rs. 30000 for 2 months of internship. A total of 34 corporates participated in this Summer Internship Programme, out of which 16 were first-timers. More than 62% of the students opted for SIP in the marketing domain followed by 30% in Finance and approximately 8% favored HR management roles.
Some of the famous names in the corporate world, such as RBI, Dabur, ICICI Securities, HDFC Bank, Flipkart, Paytm, Parle, Bajaj Capital, Amul and Pepsico have shown immense conviction and confidence in our students’ potential. They recognized the talent and caliber of the students and initiated their first foray into the corporate world as summer interns.
