The University of Cape Coast was established in October 1962 as a University College and placed in a special relationship with the University of Ghana, Legon. The University was established out of a dire need for highly qualified and skilled manpower in education. Its original mandate was to train graduate professional teachers for Ghana's second-cycle institutions and the Ministry of Education to meet the manpower needs of the country's accelerated education programme.

Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS)

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), a non-profit society was registered on 27th August 1988 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960. AIMS boasts of having many top-class institutions in the country as its members. It is the official representative of Indian Management Schools in India, as well as, in some important international forums. AIMS is considered to be one of the largest networking bodies of B-schools in the world.

All India Management Association (AIMA)

The All India Management Association (AIMA) is the national apex body of the management profession in India. AIMA is a not-for-profit, non-lobbying organization, working closely with Industry, Government, Academia, and students to further the cause of the management profession in India. Established in 1957, AIMA has contributed immensely to the enhancement of management capability in the country over the years, and brings to the Indian managers the best management practices and techniques through numerous foreign collaborations with professional bodies and institutions.

Calcutta Management Association (CMA)

The Calcutta Management Association (CMA) was instituted in 1957 following the recommendations of a committee constituted by the All India Council of Technical Education. CMA was formed as the first institution of its kind in the country, under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Education, and is considered to be the prime force behind the formation of the All India Management Association (AIMA) – the apex body for management education in India. CMA is one of the oldest Management Associations in the country with contemporary thinking and values.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering Industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes. It is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led, and industry-managed organization, with around 9,000 members from the private as well as public sectors, and an indirect membership of over 300,000 enterprises from nearly 300 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.

Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&i)

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&i) was set up in 1853. However, the Chamber's origins date back to 1833 when its founding forefathers came together to form the first association of its kind in the country, which was later formalized as the Bengal Chamber. For the last one and a half centuries, the Chamber has played a pioneering role as a helmsman, steering the evolution of Commerce and Industry in India.
