As AI continues to transform industries, it is essential to integrate human values and ethical considerations into the educational landscape. This seminar brought together thought leaders, educators, and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches that equip future managers with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of AI while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the seminar sought to inspire the next generation of leaders to harness AI for positive societal impact, ensuring that technological advancements align with the broader goals of equity and environmental stewardship.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the capacity to provide solutions for intractable situations of human distress, to allow commercialization of ideas which were earlier unimaginable, and also to lend itself as a tool for unethical exploits. However, to ensure that there is a harmonious coexistence between humanity and technology, it is essential to anchor this integration in basic human values. - ESG to SDG – The Roadmap for a Sustainable World
In October 2005, the United Nations Environment Program Initiative in the Freshfields Report coined the acronym ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance, respectively. In 2015, all United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that provided a shared blueprint – at the heart of which are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), considered to be an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership. The entire gamut of ESG and SDG is obviously overwhelming. The deliberations of the 6th International Vision Seminar 2022, based on the theme ‘ESG to SDG – The Roadmap for a Sustainable World’, will therefore be focused on certain aspects of direct relevance to business and industry.
