Globsyn Research Cell (GRC) is a novel initiative of Globsyn Business School (GBS) in its endeavor to make the institute research oriented, and impact the society and stakeholders with its research output, strategic input and knowledge dissemination. Globsyn Research Cell is part of Globsyn Knowledge Cell headed by Prof. Shaoli Chakraborty. Cut across socio-economic strata, the output of the research cell would not only impact the elite but also people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP). GRC is yet another feather to the cap of Globsyn’s research initiatives, strengthening the institute’s endeavor to serve the society and provide sustainable solution to public at large.
Globsyn Research Cell has a robust constitutional framework with four different verticals headed by four different faculty members as shown in the infographic.
The first vertical, Publications produce cutting-edge research publications in reputed national and international journals, looks for research collaborations and research projects. This vertical deals with research output and thereby looks to create knowledge for impacting society.
The second vertical, Consultancy fosters an industry-academia nexus, providing insightful strategic solutions to the corporate problems and looking forward to advising the industry about business creation, continuity and sustainability.
The third vertical, International Vision Seminar (IVS) is aimed at promoting academic discourse and camaraderie among the student-faculty community of post graduate management education, through its Vision Seminar, Research Seminar and EBSCO enlisted Globsyn Management Journal. With 9 seminars held so far, this event promotes best practices, encourages innovation in response to environmental changes, and aims to shape young managers by helping them think clearly, find purpose, and bring meaning to their work.
The fourth vertical, Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Management Development Programs (MDP) cater to training faculty and corporate people in managerial positions about latest trends and tools of the industry. Aimed at a monthly endeavor, this vertical is created to disseminate best possible knowledge to industry and top level academia.
Thus, Globsyn Research Cell is an amalgamation of knowledge creation and dissemination, a centre for thought leadership and an epitome of academia-industry nexus.
