Globsyn Research Cell (GRC) is a novel initiative of Globsyn Business School (GBS) in its endeavor to make the institute research oriented, and impact the society and stakeholders with its research output, strategic input and knowledge dissemination. Globsyn Research Cell is part of Globsyn Knowledge Cell headed by Prof. Shaoli Chakraborty. Cut across socio-economic strata, the output of the research cell would not only impact the elite but also people at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP). GRC is yet another feather to the cap of Globsyn’s Beyond Education initiatives, strengthening the institute’s endeavor to serve the society and provide sustainable solution to public at large.
Globsyn Research Cell has a robust constitutional framework with four different verticals headed by four different faculty members as shown in the infographic.
The first vertical, Publications produce cutting-edge research publications in reputed national and international journals, looks for research collaborations and research projects. This vertical deals with research output and thereby looks to create knowledge for impacting society.
The second vertical, Consultancy fosters an industry-academia nexus, providing insightful strategic solutions to the corporate problems and looking forward to advising the industry about business creation, continuity and sustainability.
The third vertical, GMJ/ GMC deals with two sub-areas: one is, Globsyn Management Conference which is a discussion forum for the academia and the industry, where relevant and theme-based topics related to the industry or society are critically evaluated and debated, research papers related to the theme are presented by students, Faculty and industry and the proceedings of the same are published in ISBN rated book. The second sub-area is Globsyn Management Journal, enlisted in all databases of EBSCO, ProQuest and OCLC, is an annual journal published by Globsyn where research papers with advanced empirical understanding are circulated to more than 100 B-schools and institutes across the country.
The fourth vertical, Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Management Development Programs (MDP) cater to training faculty and corporate people in managerial positions about latest trends and tools of the industry. Aimed at a monthly endeavor, this vertical is created to disseminate best possible knowledge to industry and top level academia. Some of the recently held FDPs and MDPs are:
