We are at a time when the grey areas between right and wrong is expanding and individual decisions are ever more subjective. Businesses are fighting to survive and grow against fierce competition, and success in terms of money and fame is harder to come by. Under such circumstances it is may be easy to overlook the essentials of ethics and responsible leadership.
So how true is it that pursuit of corporate growth can be only at the expense of integrity? Can business leadership adopt a sense of societal responsibility? Is the external environment conducive to ethics? Is the regulatory system weak or incapable? Is regulation itself enough? All these and allied issues were the focal point of deliberations and discussions at the ‘Corporate Ethics and Responsible Leadership’ seminar, which was addressed by eminent achievers and national and international members of the academia.
