International Vision Seminar 2025

The 9th International Vision Seminar 2025 was dedicated to the theme ‘Ethics, AI, and Human Values: Pioneering Management Education for a Sustainable Future‘.

In an era dominated by rapid technological advancements, this seminar provided a critical discourse that explored the intersection of advanced technologies, ethical frameworks, and the promotion of sustainability within business education. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, it brings both unprecedented opportunities and challenges for society. In management education, the importance of instilling ethical considerations in the application of AI becomes paramount, as decisions made by future leaders will significantly impact not only businesses but the broader society and environment. AI’s transformative power lies in its ability to automate processes, analyze vast amounts of data, and offer innovative solutions. However, this power comes with ethical implications. Unchecked, AI can exacerbate inequality, infringe on privacy, and make decisions that lack the empathy and human-centered values crucial to a just society. Therefore, integrating ethics into AI education is not only a moral imperative but also a pragmatic one, ensuring that future leaders are equipped to make responsible decisions.

Management education must evolve to include robust discussions on ethical dilemmas posed by AI. Traditional curricula focused solely on profit maximization are no longer sufficient. Institutions must adopt a more holistic approach that encompasses human values like fairness, accountability, transparency, and inclusivity. By instilling these values, educational institutions can prepare students to lead in a way that prioritizes long-term societal well-being over short-term gains. The sustainability aspect cannot be overlooked either. In an era of growing environmental concerns, business leaders need to champion practices that align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). AI can play a pivotal role in fostering sustainability, from optimizing resource use to enabling circular economies. However, its potential can only be realized if it is guided by an ethical framework that aligns with human values.

Pioneering management education means empowering students with the tools to critically assess the impacts of AI and make decisions that serve both their organizations and society. It requires a shift from traditional management practices to those that embrace ethical considerations, sustainability, and the long-term view. By integrating ethics, AI, and human values into the core of management education, we can cultivate leaders who will navigate the complexities of the future with foresight and integrity, ensuring a sustainable future for all.

As AI continues to transform industries, it is essential to integrate human values and ethical considerations into the educational landscape. This seminar brought together thought leaders, educators, and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches that equip future managers with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of AI while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the seminar sought to inspire the next generation of leaders to harness AI for positive societal impact, ensuring that technological advancements align with the broader goals of equity and environmental stewardship.

This seminar explored the intersection of Ethics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Human Values within the context of management education. With AI transforming industries and decision-making processes, understanding its ethical implications and alignment with human values is crucial for fostering sustainable business practices and societal progress. Recognizing this global phenomenon, the International Research Seminar 2025 was dedicated to the theme: ‘Ethics, AI, and Human Values: Pioneering Management Education for a Sustainable Future’, with an emphasis on inspiring innovative approaches in management education that emphasize ethics, AI, technology, and sustainability.
