Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as the most potent development in the history of our civilization. It has the capacity to provide solutions for intractable situations of human distress, to allow commercialization of ideas which were earlier unimaginable, and also to lend itself as a tool for unethical exploits. By incorporating AI literacy into educational curricula, societies can empower individuals to navigate the complexities of this technological landscape.
The future hinges on a delicate balance between technological progress and human values – and to ensure this it is imperative for technology to align with ESG goals. Simultaneously, humans must actively embrace technology, steering its evolution in a direction that upholds our shared values and promotes a harmonious coexistence with the environment and society.
Recognizing this global phenomena, the International Research Seminar 2024 was dedicated to the theme: ‘Embracing AI for Humanity’, with emphasis on Impact, Challenges, Prospect, Progress, Human Values and Future of AI on Humanity. This Seminar highlighted some aspects of AI, which are of immediate relevance to academicians, public policy functionaries, and social workers, practicing managers and management candidates and students nationally and internationally.
